BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Planning a Birthday Party at Turning Pointe is as simple as 1-2-3!

What is provided
- A dance instructor to lead the party from the greeting to the farewell goodbyes
- Decorations with balloons to fit your theme of choice
- A gift book to help keep track of all of the gifts
- A fun and memorable birthday party experience for the guest of honor and his/her friends
What you provide
- Invitations
- Birthday Cake (Cupcakes are recommended)
- Lemonade or Apple juice in juice boxes (No red juice or Capri Suns please)
- Cups, plates, utensils,napkins, birthday candles
- Party favors or goodie bags
Cost
$200 for an hour and a half party, includes 30 minutes of farewell time*
$50 deposit needed to save the date.
Please try to limit party guests to 15 including the guest of honor.
Sample party timing
1:30-1:45 Greeting & get-to-know-you games
1:45-2:15 Dancing and games
2:15-2:45 Open presents and eat cake
2:45-3:00 A little more dancing and party favors are given
3:00-3:30 Guests may linger and chat while you gather all your gifts, etc.
*Note: We start wrapping the party up at the hour and a half point.We want your guests to feel as though they can linger and chat without being rushed which is why we include the farewell half hour.
ANNUAL RECITAL
What: Annual themed recital that is free for everyone to attend!
We cordially invite your family members, friends and neighbors to join us for a fun-filled evening of dance.
When: 2009 Performance dates and times TBA
Where: Lake Dallas High School
From I-35, go West on Swisher/FM 2181
Turn Right at Parkridge (3rd light)
The high school will be on the right hand side. There is ample parking for guests.
Dress Rehearsal:
Students are to arrive in costume with hair and make up completed as listed below.
Once the dancers have practiced their routines on stage, they may go home and rest.
We strongly advise you to make the Dress Rehearsal and Performance the only activity on this
day. It is very exciting and very tiring for the dancers, so please let them rest in between the Dress Rehearsal and Performance.
You may take photos and videotape the dress rehearsal only. The evening performance will be
professionally filmed and no flash photography or videography will be permitted.
Performance:
Students are to arrive 45 minutes before their showtime in costume with hair and make up completed. Parents will sign their dancer in, drop them off at the assigned dressing room and take their seats in the auditorium. Only dancers and room moms will be allowed in the dressing rooms. All dancers stay for the entire performance as they are all in the finale at the end. After the show is over, parents may pick their dancer up from the assigned dressing room.
Non-Refundable Costs:
A non-refundable Performance Package will be automatically debited from your checking account, debit or credit card on the 1st of January. The exact amount will be announced in December. The Performance Package covers the following:
1. Costume including a new pair of tights, bows and accessories.
2. Recital fee that covers the cost of the production including theatre rental, backdrop and programs.
3. A trophy commensurate with consecutive years enrolled at Turning Pointe.
DVD of Performance: $25 per DVD
DVD includes professional recording of the performance by Cherished Moments Videography

Dance routines listed as chapters for easy viewing of a specific dance
A Picture-in-Picture effect showing a close up view of the dancers
Portraits and Group Shots:
Texas Tradition Photography will be coming to our studio to take group photos and individual portraits of our dancers in costume. Each class will have a specific time slot to have their photo taken. Group shots will be taken first and then individual shots will be taken within the allotted time slot. More details to come regarding time slots and portrait pricing.
Food Drive:
In lieu of charging for tickets to the annual recital, Turning Pointe will request each family bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to social service centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in need. Let's Celebrate our own blessings by giving to others.
