About Us

Turning Pointe Dance Studio is a Christian-owned and operated studio proudly celebrating its fourth year in operation. Turning Pointe offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Drill Team to ages three to adult.

Turning Pointe Dance Studio is a place for learning the art of dance and the excitement of performance. Students have the opportunity to learn about dance while developing a strong sense of self esteem and lasting friendships. Parents will see their children involved in a wholesome activity that contributes to the growth and development of their children's ability and personality.

The studio is located directly across the growing master-planned community of Lantana.
It provides easy access for those living in Lantana, Argyle, Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Double Oak, Flower Mound and Highland Village.

 

Our Accomplishments

• We have produced three memorable recitals, Red Carpet Rhythm (2006), World Showcase (2007) and Coconut Groove (2008)
• Our dancers performed at the 2007 AT&T Cotton Bowl Pre-Game and Half-Time Show.
• Our Dance Company performed at The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in June 2007.
• We expanded and added a second dance floor to our current location to accommodate our growing family of dancers

The best education starts with the best teachers which is why Turning Pointe employs instructors with a well-rounded background of training, performance and teaching experience.Our teachers are passionate about the art and discipline of dance and appreciate the opportunity to share their love of dance with each student. Diversity best describes the accomplishments of our instructors which include the following:

• Featured performances in ballets including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Paquita and musicals such as South Pacific, Guys and Dolls and The Music Man.
• Membership of professional dance organizations including Texas Association Teachers of Dancing (T.A.T.D.)
• Accolades and awards from national competitions including Outstanding Director, Best Choreography, Best Overall and High Kick Award.
